November is a time for reflection and giving thanks. Castle Hills Real Estate has had a record-breaking year thus far in 2022! So we wanted to take a moment to recognize ALL of our Buyers and Sellers who chose to work with us on their home selling or buying process! Selling or buying a home is one, if not THE most emotional, financial, and physically demanding decisions you can make! It can be filled with anxiety, excitement, AND exhaustion all at the same time! What does this mean as a Seller?
- Anxiety: A seller often “second guesses” themselves when they put their home on the market. They often wonder if selling is the right thing to do for them and their families. It can involve kids moving to different schools and neighborhoods and will take some re-adjusting for everyone to get used to a new home and surroundings.
- Excitement: It can also be a time of excitement and “new beginnings”. Perhaps a new job or a financial incentive for selling the home is what drives the transaction. Both can be pretty awesome!
- Exhaustion: But let’s not forget all the work that goes into getting the home ready for the market! One common theme that we see is that Sellers typically don’t realize just how much time and effort they will have to put in to make their home sell for the most money in the least amount of time. And this is before any buyers look at photos, videos or even walk through the door!
It's similar for a Buyer as well:
- Anxiety: Buying a home can be emotionally draining, especially over the past few years! This causes so much anxiety for buyers who question whether they’ve paid too much, or if they chose the right house in the right neighborhood.
- Excitement: Buyers are also really excited about their new home, as it typically was a preferred choice to either move up or downsize; and into a neighborhood that they desire. For a first-time buyer it can be even more exciting, as they will now become a “homeowner” with all the benefits that come with it.
- Exhaustion: Moving is a lot of work…period. As a buyer, you’re still having to move from somewhere. And setting up a new household can be a challenge. There may also be some repairs, updates or improvements that you’ll want to take care of as soon as you move in.
